This is a fun project under the guidance of Dr. Adam Anderson, my professor in the Digital Humanities class. We want to create something where when you input a keyword or two and output an image in a reasonable amount of time. Here we explore the functionality of API and database versus machine learning GAN.

I used streamlit, it’s a web framework that allows one to prototype a concept web app in a matter of hours, alongside Harvard Art Museum API as well as University of Chicago Art API. [Github]

Through careful software engineering design, we are able to produce a text to image generator that’s relatively fast and efficient, though currently, it’s only able to handle one or two keywords, in the future, we hope that it can be developed into something like DALL.E, but with art databases instead! :D
